You are: Home Page > Careers > Working as a Podiatry Assistant

Foot care assistants act as clinical assistants to podiatrists working within the NHS, private practice and the retail sector.

The training for this role occurs once you have been employed and is conducted by your employer.

The training involves a minimum of 500 clinical hours as well as practical, theoretical and oral assessments.

The precise nature of the duties are defined by the employer but are distinct from that of a podiatrist.
